Accra

Accra is the capital city and the largest city of Ghana. It is an administrative, communications and economic centre of Ghana. It was originally built as a port along the Atlantic coast. It has attractive centres due to its early architectures built during the colonial period. In the modern day it has transformed with its skyscraper buildings made of glass, concrete and steel.

Accra is the largest city in Ghana with a population estimate of around four million. This is a metropolitan city which houses many industries hence providing employment to many people of Ghana. It is a city that houses the largest population in the large country of Ghana.

The city of Accra has been to the capital city since 1877 and it is a city well endowed with luxury hotels, excellent restaurants and night clubs. It also houses several museums, monuments, modern business and commercial areas. Among the major tourist attraction is the National Museum which is filled with things portraying the heritage of Ghana. There is also the National Theatre which is built in the modern way, the Independence square and the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

The Accra International Conference Centre is also a centre of attraction where many people gather for conferences. The beaches at the coast of the Accra town are also attracting centre for tourists. There are many resorts which have been built here for visitors.
